Zambia Unity Day Observed On 5 July 2022
A public holiday known as Zambia Unity Day is observed on the Tuesday that follows the first Tuesday in July. It falls on July 5 this year. Since Unity Day usually falls the day following Heroes’ Day, the day is always a part of a two-day break. The purpose of Unity Day is to encourage intergroup harmony among the 70 or more ethnic groups that make up Zambian society.
