• The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Shaktikanta Das today announced cut in benchmark interest rate, Repo Rate by 75 basis points to 4.4 per cent to deal with the hardship caused due to the outbreak of COVID-19.
• Total number of confirmed cases of COVID 19 climbed to 724 including 47 foreign nationals. Health and Family Welfare Ministry has confirmed that 67 patients have been cured and discharged and 17 deaths have been reported in the country so far.
